Furniture Pickup and
Delivery Upholstery NJ

Collection, wrapping and return for the pieces that genuinely have to travel. Furniture pickup and delivery upholstery NJ buildings allow is decided by your narrowest door, not by the size of the sofa.

Where furniture actually gets damaged

Corridors, not rooms

A lobby sofa survives years of customers and then gets scarred in ninety seconds by a lift door. Thresholds, door frames, the turn at the end of a hallway and the inside of a lift car do more damage to commercial furniture than people do. So the measurements taken before a van is booked are not the piece’s — they are the narrowest door on the route and the internal dimensions of the lift car. If those numbers do not work, the honest answer is that the piece should be worked on where it stands.

Loose pieces, in batches

Furniture pickup and delivery upholstery NJ jobs need is almost always a subset: loose seating that needs bench work, taken a few at a time so the room keeps functioning.

What stops a collection

The building, not the furniture

Every item on the left has stopped a job that was otherwise ready to run, and none of them is about upholstery. Tell us about them with the enquiry and they cost nothing; tell us on the day and they cost a visit.

Ask your building

  • Wrapped lobby furniture loading at night
Dock hoursMany buildings allow deliveries only in a window, often not the one you trade in.
  • Banquet chairs batched between a hall and a truck
Lift bookingA service lift usually has to be reserved, sometimes days ahead.
  • A certificate of insurance for a property management client
A separate COISome buildings want one naming the freight elevator operator specifically.

What we bring

  • A recovered bench seat in the workshop
Bench workThe reason a piece travels at all: a bench and extraction.
  • A banquette delivered and installed
Return and installSet back in position and checked, not left in a corridor.
  • Wrapped office chairs on a cart after hours
Out of hoursCollections timed to the dock window rather than ours.
How it works

Measure, book, wrap, return

  1. Measure the route

Narrowest door and lift car. This decides whether the piece travels at all.

  2. Book the access

Dock window and service lift, with whatever paperwork the building wants.

  3. Wrap where it stands

Blanket and film on the floor it came from, before it moves an inch.

  4. Return and set

Back in position, checked seated, and the protection taken away with us.

Where this sits

Travel is the exception

Most commercial work does not need this page: it is finished where it stands under on-site repairs, in the window described on off-hours service. And if your building wants paperwork before anybody touches the freight lift, that is insurance and COI.

Questions

Furniture Pickup and Delivery Upholstery NJ FAQ

What buildings ask before a collection.

How do you decide whether a piece can be moved?

By measuring the route rather than the furniture. Furniture pickup and delivery upholstery NJ jobs are limited by the narrowest door and the lift car, and if those numbers fail we work on the piece where it stands.

Who protects the lobby floors?

We do, before anything moves. Damage to the building on the way out is a real risk and it is ours to avoid.

Will you take everything at once?

No. Loose seating goes in batches so the room keeps working, which is also how a rotation is run.

Our dock only opens early morning. Is that a problem?

No, but it has to be known in advance. Dock windows and lift bookings stop more collections than anything about the furniture.

Is collection charged separately?

It is part of the job rather than a line you discover later. It is also a reason on-site work is often cheaper overall.
