Poltrona Frau leather repair NJ

Hand-finished leather that darkens and softens with years of use. When the arms wear through, the color fades or a seam opens, it can be restored at home while keeping the patina that makes the piece.

Questions

Poltrona Frau repair questions

Will the repair remove the patina?

Only if you want it to. We match the color to the aged leather around the repair, so the piece keeps its character.

The arms are worn through. Can they still be saved?

Often, yes. Worn arms can be rebuilt and recolored; if the leather has gone through, a new panel can be fitted from a matching hide.

Do you condition the leather after the repair?

Yes. The repaired area and the leather around it are conditioned and protected, and you get aftercare notes.

Should I contact the dealer first?

If the piece may still be covered by the dealer or maker, ask them first, since an outside repair may affect a claim.
