How booths wear

A booth is a run, not a seat

Guests sit in the same places every night, so one end of a banquette can be worn through while the far end still looks new. That is why booth reupholstery NJ restaurants ask for starts with a choice of scope.

Recover a sectionOnly the worn seats or backs get new covers, matched to the ones that stay.
Recover the runEvery section in one cover, so the whole wall looks new and even.
Change the roomA new color or material across the run. A booth is the biggest piece of upholstery in most dining rooms.

Where it wears, and how it is built

Booths fail in the same few places. Knowing how they are put together is what lets a new cover line up with the old ones.

Where it wears

  • Seams on booth upholstery

  • Piping on booth upholstery

How it is built

  • Channel backs on booth upholstery
Channel backsEach channel is a separate pocket, filled and sewn to line up with its neighbors.
  • Seat decks on booth upholstery
Seat decksWhere two decks meet at a corner, the seams have to meet too.
  • Panels on booth upholstery
PanelsOn many booths the seat and back are panels bolted to the frame, so a section can come out on its own.

Honest advice

Sometimes a repair is enough

If the leather is sound and only creased, scuffed or cracked in a few spots, repairing it keeps the original covers and costs less than recovering. We will tell you from the photos. See crack repair, scuff repair and scratch repair, or read about bar upholstery.

Questions

Booth Reupholstery FAQ

What owners ask before booking booth reupholstery NJ wide.

Can you recover just the worn sections of a booth?

Often, yes. If the material can still be matched, only the worn seats or backs are recovered. When it cannot be matched well, recovering the whole run is the cleaner option, and we say so up front.

Leather or vinyl for a restaurant booth?

Both work. Commercial vinyl is easy to wipe down and costs less. Leather looks richer and ages well. Booth reupholstery NJ restaurants book is split between the two, and we can send options for either.

Is the foam replaced too?

When the seat has gone flat or soft at the front edge, yes. New foam is what makes a recovered booth sit right. If the old foam is still firm, it can stay.

Do you work on home banquettes too?

Yes. Kitchen banquettes and built-in breakfast nooks are recovered the same way as restaurant booths.

How do I get a price?

Text or email photos of the whole run, a close-up and the number of sections to (347) 310-7483 or office@leatherrestorepro.com, or use the free estimate form.
