01

Who we are

Leather Restore Pro Inc. repairs, restores and reupholsters leather, vinyl and upholstered furniture across New Jersey, from North Jersey to the Shore. Most repairs happen in your home or office.

This policy covers nj.leatherrestorepro.com and the estimate, scheduling and follow-up that happen by email, phone and text message. The New York site, leatherrestorepro.com, has its own privacy policy.

02

What we collect

What you send us

Everything we hold about you starts with something you send: the free estimate form, an email, a call or a text message. That usually means:

  • your name, email address and phone number;
  • your ZIP code or the address where the repair will happen;
  • photos of the furniture and the damage;
  • anything else you choose to write.

Messages from the estimate form, with any photos attached, are emailed to our office. The site does not keep its own copy of them.

We only need the piece in the photo. Please leave people, documents and screens out of the frame.

What the site records on its own

Like any web server, our host keeps standard logs: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We do not run analytics, so nothing builds a profile of your visit. We do not collect biometric information.

03

How we use it

We use your details to quote the job, book the visit, do the repair and answer questions about it afterwards. We also use them to keep the records that tax and insurance rules require.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not put your furniture photos on this site or in advertising without asking you first.

04

Cookies

The site sets two small cookies. Both keep it running, and neither one tracks you: hcdn from our hosting provider, which lasts until you close the browser, and __cf_bm from a security service we use, which tells people apart from bots and lasts about 30 minutes.

There is no analytics, advertising or social-media tracking on this site, so there is no cookie banner. The full record is on our opt-out preferences page.

05

The services that handle it

A few outside services touch data on this site:

Our hosting provider

Hosts the website and our email, so the messages you send pass through its servers. It also serves a small script that loads on every page.

A security service

Sets the __cf_bm cookie to filter out bots. It sees your IP address and some browser details.

Google Fonts

The site’s typeface loads from Google, which sees your IP address and browser when a page opens. It sets no cookies here. Read Google’s privacy policy.

Some photos on this site load from leatherrestorepro.com, our New York site. That is the same company on a different address, and those requests set no cookies on this site.

06

Who else sees it

Beyond the services above, we pass on personal information only:

  • when a law, court order or government request requires it;
  • when it is needed to protect the safety of our customers, our technicians or the business;
  • when you ask us to, for example when a designer, building manager or relative arranges the repair for you.

We never give your details to other contractors or to marketing lists.

07

How long we keep it

We keep emails, photos and job notes for as long as we need them to finish the work, answer questions about it, and meet tax and insurance rules. After that we delete them. If you want them gone sooner, ask. We will do it unless the law makes us keep a particular record.

08

How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards to keep personal information away from people who should not see it. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that nothing will ever go wrong. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as New Jersey law requires.

09

Your rights and choices

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • delete it, apart from records we must keep;
  • stop sending you anything other than messages about a job in progress.

Email office@leatherrestorepro.com from the address you used with us. It costs nothing, you do not need a reason, and asking will not change how we treat you. We answer within 45 days, usually much sooner.

10

Children

This site and our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.

12

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top. If we ever add analytics or advertising tools, this page will say so before they go live.
