Leather Repair
Warranty NJ

The leather repair warranty NJ customers get from us covers the work we did, in the place we did it. The length is written on your estimate before we start, and the cover begins the day we finish.

Term on your written estimateStarts the day we finishCall (347) 310-7483

The term

Written down before we begin

We do not print one number for every job. Recoloring one worn cushion and rebuilding a torn panel carry different risks, and giving both the same term would not be honest. Instead, the leather repair warranty NJ jobs carry is set for the work in front of us and put in writing on the estimate.

Starts
On the day we finish the job, not the day you booked it.
Length
Set for your job and written on the estimate you approve, before any work begins.
Applies to
The surfaces named as repaired on that estimate, and nothing beyond them.
Proof
Your estimate or invoice. Lost it? We keep a copy, so the address and month will do.
What it covers

If our work fails, we fix it

The cover follows the repair itself. These are the failures we stand behind on any area listed on your estimate.

Finish lifting on a leather repair
Finish lifting
Filler, color or topcoat peeling, flaking or rubbing away from the spot we repaired, under ordinary use.
Color drifting on a leather repair
Color drifting
The repaired area changing shade so it no longer matches the leather we matched it to.
Stitching letting go on a leather repair
Stitching letting go
Thread we replaced coming loose, or a panel we joined separating along our seam.

Not covered

  • New damage after the visit: a fresh scratch, cut, burn, stain or claw mark
  • Wear on parts of the piece we never worked on
  • Harm from cleaners, solvents or conditioners we did not recommend
  • Bonded or faux leather breaking down around a sound repair
  • Sitting on the piece before the finish has cured
  • Fading from direct sun or heat from a radiator or vent
Making a claim

Two photos and a date

Most claims under our leather repair warranty in NJ start with a text message. There is no form to fill in.

  1. Photograph the spot

In daylight, close enough to show texture. Lamplight shifts color, and color is usually the question.

  2. Photograph the piece

One straight-on shot of the whole sofa or chair, so the repair can be judged against its surroundings.

  3. Add the job date

A job number helps. Without one, the address and roughly when we came are enough to find it.

  4. Send it to us

Text the photos to (347) 310-7483 or email office@leatherrestorepro.com. We reply to arrange a look in person.

How we decide

We look before we answer

A finish that failed and a finish wiped off by a household cleaner can look the same on a phone. So we see the piece in person, in its room, and you get one of three answers with the reason behind it.

Done again, free

If our repair is what failed, we redo it at no charge.

Brought back into line

If the repair has drifted but the leather around it is sound, we adjust it to match again.

Outside the cover

If the cause is not our work, we say why in writing and quote it as a new job. Whether to go ahead is up to you.

Staying covered

Four habits that protect a repair

They help the repair last, and they keep your leather repair warranty NJ cover in force.

Is the furniture still under the maker's warranty? Factory cover usually ends once an outside repairer works on a piece. If yours is still running, call the store you bought it from before booking anyone, us included.

The FTC explains how product warranties work, and New Jersey's Division of Consumer Affairs handles complaints about home repairs.

  • Give the finish time to cureIt is not fully hard when we leave. You get the curing time on the day, and it is worth following.
  • Clean only the way we showed youHousehold sprays and wipes can strip a topcoat. Ask us before trying a new product.
  • Keep it away from sun and heatA repaired panel beside a bright window or a heating vent ages faster than the rest of the piece.
  • Let one repairer work on itIf someone else applies their finish over ours, our cover on that area ends.
Questions

Warranty FAQ

Straight answers about the leather repair warranty NJ homeowners ask us about most.

How long is the leather repair warranty NJ customers get?

There is no single figure. A scuff blended into an old aniline sofa and a full replacement panel are different jobs, so the length is set for yours and written on the estimate you approve. You know it before you agree to anything.

Does the warranty cover the whole sofa?

No. It covers the areas we repaired, as listed on your estimate. The rest of the piece keeps aging at its own pace, and a repair cannot make an old hide new.

What if I cannot find my estimate?

We keep a copy. Call (347) 310-7483 with the address where we worked and about when, and we will look it up.

Is a repair on bonded or faux leather covered?

Our repair is. The surrounding material is not, because bonded and faux leather wear through the whole layer, and we tell you that at the estimate stage.

Will a repair end the manufacturer's warranty?

It can. Factory cover often stops once an outside repairer works on the furniture, so if yours is still running, ask the retailer first.

Not sure it is covered?

Send us a photo

Text the two photos and the date of the job. We would rather check a repair that is fine than leave you wondering about one.
